TCP/IP CONFIGURATION: WINDOWS NT

  1. Right-click on the NETWORK NEIGHBORHOOD icon on your PC desktop. Click PROPERTIES.



  2. From here, procedd to the PROTOCOLS tab, highlight the TCPIP PROTOCOL option. Click
    PROPERTIES.



  3. Chose your correct adapter. Click SPECIFY AN IP ADDRESS. Insert the IP address. In
    the example below, we are using a default gateway (router address) of
    192.168.10.0, so the first usable IP is 192.168.10.1 (IP numbers shown here are for
    example only.



  4. Switch to the DNS CONFIGURATION tab.

  5. Enter your hostname in the HOST: field.

  6. Enter your domain in the DOMAIN field. (If you do not have a domain name, please
    enter "dsl.net".)

  7. Select each IP address in the DNS SERVER SEARCH ORDER list and click REMOVE if
    there are numbers present.

  8. For each DNS server that you use:
    1. Click ADD... below DNS SERVER SEARCH ORDER
    2. Enter the IP address of the DNS server (as per the IP Configuration Sheet
    mailed to you by DSL.net) in the DNS SERVER field and click ADD.

  9. Click APPLY. Click OK. (Field entries shown below are for example only.)



  10. You will be prompted to reboot your computr, please do so.
